Peyton Mikolayek Appointed Senior White House Social Media Correspondent

WASHINGTON - AKSM Media is pleased to announce that Peyton Mikolayek will join the White House Division effective Monday, September 1, 2025 as the team’s Senior White House Social Media Correspondent.

With over 555.4k followers, Mikolayek will join the digital team under the direction of Stella Smith as she brings her expertise in digital strategy and content innovation to one of the most visible and influential beats in American journalism. Mikolayek will help lead coverage designed to expand accessibility, deepen public understanding of the executive branch, and connect policy discussions to everyday lives in real time.

Mikolayek said, “It’s hard for me to put into words how ecstatic I am to be joining this team. American politics has been my lifeblood as long as I can remember. This opportunity is for little me, who begged her mom to tag along to the voting booth and whose “imaginary friends” were the Presidents. And just as much for current me, who fangirls just as much over historical biographies as her books.”

Mikolayek will also help lead coverage designed to expand accessibility, deepen public understanding of the executive branch, and connect policy discussions to everyday lives in real time.

Chief White House Correspondent Emily Barkann said, "We are so excited to have Peyton join the team and know that her contribution and perspective will be integral to our content."

Originally from Port Huron, Michigan, Mikolayek is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland where she is a sophomore while serving as the White House Division’s senior social media correspondent.
