Stella Smith Appointed White House Digital Director
WASHINGTON - As a part of a growing digital landscape, AKSM Media is pleased to announce that Stella Smith has been promoted to be the new White House Digital Director.
In her new role, Smith will continue to report on breaking news while working closely with the digital team to produce efficient and information content across all of our outlets. Smith will also lead the company’s digital strategy and content operations from inside its White House division, overseeing real-time reporting, multimedia storytelling, and audience engagement across all platforms.
Smith previously served as a junior White House correspondent where she reported on political and social policy from the Trump Administration. Smith has previous experience serving in the Rockwall County District Attorney’s Office where she gained a professional background in legal policy including drug diversion, crimes against children, family violence, and sexual assault prosecution.
White House assignment editor Ella Doda said, "Stella has an incredible work ethic. As Digital Director, Smith will work closely with our correspondents and editorial leadership to expand the company’s reach across social and emerging platforms, while deepening engagement with core audiences.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Smith studied criminology and political science at Villanova University’s College of Liberal Arts and Science in Villanova, Pennsylvania and has aspirations to pursue a law degree in the future.
