Abigail Gambla Appointed Chief White House Producer

WASHINGTON - AKSM Media has officially announced the appointment of Abigail Gambla as the Chief White House Producer for its White House Division.

A native of Hinsdale, Illinois, this promotion marks a significant step in Gambla’s career within the network. Throughout 2025, she has been a prominent voice in AKSM’s political coverage, previously serving under Grace Sawyer as Assistant Chief White House Producer in preparation for her transition. She has been instrumental in reporting on high-profile administration activities, including:

  • Policy Briefings: Covering Vice President JD Vance’s remarks on law enforcement and social service reforms.

  • Executive Summits: Reporting on President Trump’s meetings with energy executives regarding international production plans.

  • International Affairs: Documenting the administration's stance on global security and capture operations.

As Chief White House Producer, Gambla will oversee the production of all broadcast and digital content originating from the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room and the broader White House complex. She joins a leadership team that includes long-standing figures like Emmy award winning chief White House correspondent Emily Barkann and White House assignment editor Ella Doda.

Miss Doda said in a statement that, “Abigail has an unparalleled ability to navigate the fast-paced, often unpredictable environment of the West Wing with both precision and poise. Having worked closely with her during her time at AKSM so far, I’ve seen firsthand her commitment to editorial integrity and her knack for capturing the stories that truly matter to our viewers. This appointment is a testament to her hard work, and I am incredibly excited to continue our collaboration as we elevate AKSM’s White House coverage to new heights.”

With a pre-law background from Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, her appointment comes at a time when AKSM Media continues to expand its White House Division, a specialized unit that has grown substantially to meet the demands of the current administration's media cycle. Gambla is expected to lead the division's technical and editorial production strategy, ensuring high-fidelity reporting for the network’s global audience.
