AKSM Photography Wins Grand Prize in
Devon Horse Show’s Photography Competition
DEVON, PA - It is with great excitement that we announce that AKSM Photography has won the 2020 Devon Memories Photography Competition. Sponsored by the Devon Horse Show and Devon Souvenirs the competition was a chance for photographers to “Celebrate 124 amazing years of Devon this year from home and share your favorite [Memories of Devon].” The competition opened on May 15th and submissions were taken through May 20th. Winners were announced each day during the Horse Show’s “Virtual Devon” horse show this year in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The photography features the junior equestrian athlete Texie Loyd after showing at Devon’s 2019 show.
In total there were 11 submissions that were chosen to be highlighted with AKSM Photography’s submission being selected as the Grand Champion. The contest and Virtual Devon online event ran from May 21st through May 31st which were the dates that the show was supposed to be held this year. As a part of AKSM Photography’s Grand Champion selection, they will receive a souvenir package from Devon Souvenirs including three face masks. AKSM Photography will be donating the face masks to those who need them most.
AKSM Photography’s Executive Director, Marcella Parisi, stated, “It is very great for our team to have this honor as a beacon of light during these times of great repress and hardship in both our country and around the world. Our primary job is to capture and document that world as it evolves, in both good times and in bad times and we are so appreciative of the work of the Devon Horse Show in the dedication to Bryn Mawr Hospital.”
