DEVON, Pa. — The 129th Devon Horse Show and Country Fair drew to a close Sunday afternoon, wrapping up nearly two weeks of top-tier competition, community celebration, and cherished tradition. The final day spotlighted the future of the sport, as young horses and breed classes took center stage in the Dixon Oval. Championship honors were awarded in the concluding breed divisions, while the festive atmosphere of the Country Fair continued with pony rides and family-focused entertainment.

The historic event, which began in 1896, remains one of the most prestigious and beloved equestrian competitions in the country. Sunday’s final classes honored the heritage of the show’s breed competition, with ribbons and trophies awarded to exemplary young horses, many of whom represent the next generation of equine excellence.

Wayne Grafton, Chairman and CEO of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, expressed gratitude in a closing statement:

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I extend our deepest gratitude to the exhibitors, sponsors, staff, volunteers, patrons, and media partners who contributed to the success of this year's Devon Horse Show and Country Fair... This year, your collective efforts not only upheld the high standards of equestrian excellence but also supported our longstanding commitment to Bryn Mawr Hospital.”

That charitable mission — supporting Bryn Mawr Hospital — remains at the heart of the show’s legacy. As both a competition and a philanthropic tradition, Devon continues to distinguish itself with a unique blend of sport, service, and community.

From world-class jumper rounds to historic breed showcases, from international competitors to pony rides for local children, the 2025 Devon Horse Show exemplified its tagline: Where Champions Meet — and where tradition endures.

Organizers now look ahead to next year’s milestone 130th anniversary, promising even more opportunities for excellence and celebration. Competition will return to the Main Line on September 11th for the 2025 Devon Fall Classic which runs through September 14th as well as Dressage at Devon from September 23rd to September 28th. Tickets are still available for the show’s 129th run - which ends next Sunday, June 1st - at devonhorseshow.net.
