KING OF PRUSSIA, PA - For the first time in over a year, artist Melanie Dernoga returned to YouTube on Sunday to give her fans a life update in a video called “Life Update // New Job, Heartbreak, etc”. The 22-year old TikTok star did not stray away or hold back any details as she laid everything on the table for her fans. Melanie opened by talking about how her life has progressed over the past year. One major thing that Melanie talked about is how she is no longer streaming on Uplive which is a live-streaming platform that allows viewers to broadcast and view real-time videos. Melanie -along with a handful of other artists decided to leave Uplive after the 2019 Playlist event in Orlando. Melanie described her reasoning for leaving stating that Uplive just wasn’t the right fit and that she would post another video on her YouTube channel soon where she’ll go into more detail. Another reason for taking a break from YouTube is due to her migraines related to stress from her performance schedule.

Melanie shifted to talking about her summer and being able to spend more time with her close friends and focusing a lot of her time and energy into her TikTok videos. Melanie also opened up about details regarding her relationships over the summer, which included heartbreak. Melanie continued to discuss her choice to leave college to pursue her career. She spoke to how she felt depressed at times when she didn’t know where things were going and how she overcame those darker days. Melanie touched on how she went back to her old modeling agency and how she now teaches modeling and acting at the agency’s school. At the same time as joining the agency, she was also signed by MTM in Philadelphia.

Melanie closed with a message to her fans; thanking them for their support over the past year as she looks forward to the future. She stated, “If there is something that you really want to achieve…start now!” A message to live by. Overall it seems like Melanie - though having a rough go at it - has bounced back and is ready to step back into the spotlight. No matter what, we know that Melanie is supported by all of her friends, family and fans and we look forward to seeing more of Melanie in the near future!
